Plantation Firefighting is a supplementary Rural Firefighting course, which focuses solely on Pine and Eucalyptus Plantation Fires. First the factors affecting such fires are discussed, then the equipment and techniques employed in suppressing a Plantation Fire are discussed and practiced.
Though the techniques and equipment used are different from that employed by the Aldgate CFS Brigade, there are still many elements that can be utilised to effectively suppress the rural fires we may face.
